Alcohol-based fuel is a fuel prepared with methanol as the main component, which is toxic and usually exists in liquid form. Because it is economical, it is often used to replace fuel diesel, liquefied petroleum gas and natural gas as fuel. During random unannounced visits, the inspection team found that alcohol-based fuel and light white oil were used in some restaurants in Danzhou City, which did not meet the safety requirements and had great risks. For example, the "Chongqing Hotpot Restaurant at Meal Time" in Danzhou uses aluminum-plastic composite pipes or plastic pipes that do not meet the fire protection requirements, and the laying is messy; Nearly 800L alcohol-based fuel is randomly stored in the stainless steel barrel above the stairwell on the second floor, and a large number of combustible materials such as bamboo charcoal are piled up around the stainless steel barrel. In view of the above problems, gas experts put forward the rectification plan on the spot and emphasized the relevant safety precautions. At the same time, the inspection team was handed over to the local authorities at the first time, emphasizing the profound lessons learned from the serious accidents of urban gas in recent years and the rapid implementation of investigation, management and other related work.

In this regard, the assessment inspection team immediately instructed the territorial supervision department to investigate and deal with it according to the relevant regulations, implement rectification as soon as possible, and further eliminate various hidden dangers. The so-called limited space refers to a space that is closed or partially closed, relatively isolated from the outside world, with narrow entrances and exits, workers can’t work in it for a long time, and natural ventilation is poor, which is easy to cause the accumulation of toxic, harmful, flammable and explosive substances or insufficient oxygen content. Therefore, enterprises need to pay attention to them and carry out daily key safety management in strict accordance with relevant regulations."
