The couple drive a boat every day to salvage and recycle the garbage on the river, transfer domestic garbage and sewage for passing ships, and protect the mother river with practical actions.

On the shore less than one kilometer away from Jingzhou Port, there is a 3,000-year-old "ocean pier", which was once the birthplace of local commercial port culture. After long-term development, there are many docks and merchants here. However, due to the lack of management, the ocean terminal has gradually evolved into a huge shanty town, and some domestic sewage and industrial sewage are directly discharged into the Yangtze River, which has become a stubborn disease that threatens the ecology of the Yangtze River.
In 2016, Jingzhou City started the transformation of "Ocean Wharf", and since 2018, it has been speeding up, investing more than 1.6 billion yuan to build the "Ocean Wharf" Wenchuang Garden.
