The 10th anniversary of Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone was released, and the scale of goods trade in Pudong New Area increased by one trillion yuan.

　　CCTV News:On September 29, 2023, the Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone will be unveiled for its 10th anniversary. On September 15th, the Shanghai Municipal Government held a press conference to introduce the achievements of the 10th anniversary of the Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone.

　　At the press conference, it was introduced that in the past 10 years, Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone and Lingang New Area have made a series of institutional innovations in benchmarking international high-standard economic and trade rules, promoting high-level institutional opening, adhering to the direction of factor marketization reform, and enhancing the global resource allocation capacity.

　　Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone, through implementing the first special management measures (negative list) for foreign investment access in China, implementing the filing system for general overseas investment projects, and building a "single window" for Shanghai international trade at a high level, has explored the path and accumulated experience for the country to promote high-level opening up and link up with international high-level economic and trade rules.

　　Shen Weihua, Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce:By the end of last year, the actual accumulated foreign investment in Pudong New Area had reached 75 billion US dollars, and the registered capital exceeded 200 billion US dollars. The scale of trade in goods has increased from 1.5 trillion in 2013 to 2.5 trillion in 2022, with a scale of one trillion in 10 years.

　　In the next step, the Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone will continue to adhere to institutional innovation as the core, take replicability and promotion as the fundamental requirement, and carry out greater stress testing at a deeper level.
